Phyllis Lee is the CIS Vice President of Security Best Practices Content Development. Prior to her current role at the Center for Internet Security®, she was the Senior Director of the CIS Critical Security Controls® (CIS Controls®). Ms. Lee has 25+ years of experience in information assurance, having performed vulnerability assessments, virtualization research, and work in security automation. Before joining CIS®, Ms. Lee worked at the National Security Agency (NSA) focusing on the intersection between malware and virtualization, which included collaboration with MIT Lincoln Labs. She also participated in a variety of security automation standardization efforts and led the security automation strategy for the NSA Information Assurance Directorate (IAD). Ms. Lee holds an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Mike Soltesz is an Enterprise Systems Engineer at Fortinet. Prior to joining Fortinet in 2019, he spent a decade in engineering and pre-sales roles on the manufacturer side. Throughout his 20+ year career, Mike has gained extensive experience architecting, implementing, and supporting a large variety of security and network solutions for large enterprise customers.

Mike is a technology lover and believes strongly in Fortinet’s goal to secure users, devices, applications, and edges everywhere.  

Mike is the Director of Cybersecurity for SEI Sphere. He is responsible for the evolution of security architecture and services that are essential for clients to maintain their digital fiduciary responsibilities.

Mike has over 14 years of experience in the security industry across incident response, threat intelligence, ops, and research, with previous roles at Deloitte, Accenture, and the Department of Defense. He is a regular Forbes contributor as part of the Forbes Technology Council.
