Jon Waite is Director of Investment Management Advice and the lead actuary for SEIís Institutional Group, which delivers ongoing advice regarding investment strategy, asset allocation, funding policy and plan design. His responsibilities include providing advice regarding asset allocation considerations, retirement benefit plan design, actuarial methods and assumptions, and funding policies for SEIís corporate and multiemployer defined benefit relationships.
Jon has over 25 years of experience working with retirement plans. Prior to joining SEI, he spent nearly 18 years working for Aon Consulting, where he led the organizationís retirement and actuarial practice for the Philadelphia area.
Jon is widely recognized by the industry as an expert in the strategic elements of pension management. He has authored a variety of articles on pension plan management and has been interviewed on best practices by numerous media outlets including CNBC, Forbes, USA Today, Bloomberg News, CFO Magazine, and Institutional Investor.
Jon is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries; an enrolled actuary, licensed to practice under ERISA by the Internal Revenue Service; and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. In addition, he is a member of the Resource Committee of the Penjerdel Employee Benefits Association (PEBA) and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP). Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University.
