Phil Masterson serves as Senior Vice President in SEI’s Investment Manager Services division and as President of the AIC funds, a $15 billion mutual fund family. Mr. Masterson is responsible for the division’s international strategy, business development, client service, and delivery.
As President of the AIC funds, Mr. Masterson has led all aspects of the funds’ day-day operational, legal, and compliance activities, as well as product development matters for the trust. He also designed and established a distribution team focused on growing the AIC funds through retail and institutional intermediary channels. Mr. Masterson joined SEI from Citco Mutual Fund Services, where he served as general counsel. Prior to Citco, he served as vice president and senior counsel at OppenheimerFunds.
Mr. Masterson received his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. He received his master’s in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University. He frequently speaks at industry conferences and has published articles in the International Investor, Institutional Investor, Review of Securities and Commodities Regulation, Global Assets, Investment Lawyer, Morgan Lewis Hedge Fund Desktop Book, The Journal of Index Investing, and Institutional Investor’s Guide to Exchange Traded Funds and Indexing Innovations.
