Al Pierce is Managing Director of the Solutions Advisory Team in SEI’s Institutional Group. His team is responsible for delivering ongoing advice to hundreds of institutional clients worldwide. Mr. Pierce manages SEI’s delivery of integrated investment strategy, funding policy, asset allocation, and plan design advice to SEI’s retirement, nonprofit, and balance sheet asset pool clients.

Mr. Pierce has over 23 years of financial services and investment experience. Prior to joining SEI in 2003, he spent 15 years at Wachovia Securities working in corporate finance, merger and acquisition advisory, and capital-raising activities. Additionally, he worked for Price Waterhouse in public accounting.

Mr. Pierce is recognized as an expert in designing liability driven investing strategies, asset allocation models, and managing the impact investment decisions have on organizational finances. He has presented at a variety of pension related industry events and has been interviewed by numerous publications including Reuters, Dow Jones, Financial Times, Pension & Investments, and Investment Management Weekly.

Mr. Pierce received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the state of Pennsylvania.
