SEI Launches New Services For Wealth Managers to Address Challenges of Efficiency and Compliance

02 March 2009

LONDON, UK, 2 March 2009 – SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC) today announced the launch of a new set of services for UK wealth managers. The developments, which are provided via SEI’s Global Wealth Platform, are designed to enhance wealth managers' ability to manage their client accounts more efficiently and provide compliance features that address today’s evolving regulatory environment. These enhancements are an important addition to SEI’s innovative platform that delivers a fully integrated suite of services for wealth managers.

The launch of SEI’s discretionary management capabilities aims at wealth managers' ability to efficiently manage investment portfolios and provide the highest levels of client advice and service. Wealth managers will also be able to execute mass trades across the client base and prepare client statements grouped by families or client types, both of which create time management efficiencies as well as allow for greater levels of client service.

The changing regulatory environment has put more pressure on wealth managers as compliance issues become core industry drivers. As a result, SEI’s new service enhancements seek to address these challenges by providing risk configuration options for clients as well as improved services for pre- and post-trade investment compliance.

This announcement comes on the heels of SEI's fortieth anniversary of providing innovative client-centric technologies and outsourced infrastructure services to banks and wealth managers.

Commenting, Joseph P. Ujobai, Executive Vice President, Private Banking at SEI, said:

“SEI's Global Wealth Platform was built to meet our clients’ need for growth through key market drivers such as advice, open architecture and regulatory capabilities. The continued development of our platform highlights SEI’s commitment to delivering a transformational solution to the market. We will strive to develop new features and enhancements to ensure that we meet the evolving challenges facing our clients.”

"Wealth managers are embracing business transformation in order to drive ahead of their peers. This requires executives to make critical business decisions on how best to execute the transformation. We believe that the enhancements to our Global Wealth Platform will help wealth managers to reach their goals.”
