Al Pierce is Managing Director of the†Advice Team in SEIís Institutional Group. His team is responsible for delivering ongoing advice to hundreds of institutional clients worldwide. Al manages SEIís delivery of integrated investment strategy, funding policy, asset allocation, and plan design advice to SEIís retirement, nonprofit, and balance sheet asset pool clients.
Al has over 23 years of financial services and investment experience. Prior to joining SEI in 2003, he spent 15 years at Wachovia Securities working in corporate finance, merger and acquisition advisory, and capital-raising activities. Additionally, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in public accounting.
Al is recognized as an expert in designing liability driven investing strategies, asset allocation models, and managing the impact investment decisions have on organizational finances. He has presented at a variety of pension related industry events and has been interviewed by numerous publications including Reuters, Dow Jones, Financial Times, Pension & Investments, and Investment Management Weekly.
Al received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Richmond and holds a CPA license in the state of Pennsylvania.
