Scott Gives serves as the Senior Portfolio Manager on the Fixed Income team within the Investment Management Unit (Canada). He is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all Canadian fixed income products; executed by manager research and selection, strategy development and enhancement, investment research, product development, performance and risk modeling, and daily compliance and monitoring of sub-advisors. Mr. Gives is also a member of SEI’s Global Fixed Income Committee, where local insight, research, and market developments are shared globally. He began his career at SEI in 1994.

In his preceding role, Mr. Gives was a pension consulting specialist in financial analysis, portfolio analytics, and attribution analysis. Prior to his employment with SEI, Mr. Gives worked with Toronto-Dominion Bank, where he was involved in securities trading, options, equities, fixed income, money market, mutual funds, and foreign exchange.

Mr. Gives earned his B.A. in economics from the University of Western Ontario. He is a CFA Charterholder and has completed the Canadian Securities Course and the Canadian Options Course from the Canadian Securities Institute.
