Mike Frederick

Since joining SEI in 2016, Mike has played a key role in growing the Private Wealth Management unit from $1 billion to $8 billion (as of 9/30/25) in Assets Under Advisement.

Mike specializes in working with families who have $10 million to $1 billion in liquid assets and is a Series 65 licensed fiduciary financial advisor. Mike’s approach is hands-on, managing everything from the initial conversation to coordinating the right experts for each client.

Before SEI, Mike was Partner and Director of Business Development at TFS Capital, where Mike helped expand the firm’s reach and grow assets from $54 million to $2.3 billion (as of 12/31/15). Mike also spent time at the Virginia Athletics Foundation, leading fundraising campaigns—including a record-setting $130 million project for the John Paul Jones Arena.

Mike’s journey started on the football field, playing professionally in the NFL for teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and Cleveland Browns. Mike even played in Super Bowl XXXIV with the Titans.

Education is important to Mike—Mike earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where Mike was honored by peers and faculty, and a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia, where Mike was team captain and a four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Outside of work, Mike is passionate about giving back. Mike created and led an All Pro Dad chapter at a local elementary school, has coached football at several high schools, and enjoys sharing leadership lessons as a guest lecturer at West Chester University.
